ANEW (Austin Neighborhood Enhancements Wiki)
This website is a place to share information about neighborhood-based enhancement projects in Austin, TX.
Citizens, government entities, and nonprofit organizations are encouraged to share relevant information that will facitate the process of completing desirable neighborhood enhancement projects.
Since this wiki site is desiged as a means of easily sharing up-to-date information and improving communication between parties, entries should focus on factual information. However, unlike traditional wiki sites, a limited amount of personal information in encouraged. Any lessons learned along the way, both positive and negative, that might help another group to plan or improve their project, save time, or avoid a potential pitfall should be shared. However, personal attacks and personal preferences should not be submitted and will be removed from this site.
Getting started
First familiarize yourself with the information already on ANEW by exploring the existing project categories.
Once you have looked around, please consider sharing your knowledge and experiences. The fastest way to contribute information to ANEW is to add it yourself. If you are familiar with using Microsoft Word, you will be able to comfortably edit wiki pages. Simply click on the edit tab at the top of the page you wish to edit, or the edit link next to each section. A browser window will open with a tool bar with the same familiar functions in Microsoft Word. Edit the text as you see fit and and click Save page. For advanced contributors, ANEW also supports wiki markup language.
If you would like to contribute information without using the wiki interface, then please e-mail your contributions to (e-mail address to be provided later) to be added to the wiki by the administrator.
